Directrice générale
En tant que coordonnatrice de projet de l’ACRB et maintenant directrice générale, Kate Potter soutient et promeut le travail des 19 régions de biosphère (RB) de l’UNESCO au Canada. Kate soutient les RB par le biais de projets nationaux internes tels que des webinaires de renforcement des capacités, la rédaction de propositions, des projets liés à la communication et une aide administrative au conseil d’administration et au comité exécutif de l’ACRB, le cas échéant. Kate fait la promotion des RB à travers des conversations nationales et internationales et l’établissement de relations.
Kate vit sur les rives du lac Ontario, à environ 1,5 heures à l’est de Toronto, entre les réserves de biosphère de l’arche de Frontenac et de l’escarpement du Niagara. Elle se considère extrêmement chanceuse de travailler avec un groupe incroyable de RB dévouées et novatrices.

Executive Director
As the CBRA Project Coordinator and now the Executive Director, Kate Potter supports and promotes the work of the 19 UNESCO biosphere regions (BR) in Canada. Kate supports the BRs through internal national projects like capacity-building webinars, proposal writing, communication-related projects, and administrative help to the CBRA Board of Directors and Executive Committee where needed. Kate promotes the BRs through national and international conversations and relationship building.
Kate lives on the shores of Lake Ontario approximately 1.5 hours east of Toronto between the Frontenac Arch and Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserves. She considers herself extremely fortunate to work with such an amazing group of dedicated and innovative BRs.

Cercle autochtone de l’ACRB
Le Cercle autochtone de l’ACRB fournit des conseils aux réserves de biosphère du Canada sur la façon d’établir des relations solides et durables avec les peuples autochtones. Les réserves de biosphère travaillent également avec les membres du Cercle autochtone pour élaborer et mettre en œuvre des projets qui valorisent à parts égales les systèmes de connaissances autochtones et occidentaux.
CBRA Indigenous Circle
CBRA’s Indigenous Circle provides guidance to Canada’s biosphere reserves on how to build strong and lasting relationships with Indigenous Peoples. Biosphere reserves also work with Indigenous Circle members to develop and implement projects that value Indigenous and Western knowledge systems in equal measure.
